Daily Inspiration 3-12-10

"If you always do what interests you, at least one person is pleased."

-- Katherine Hepburn

"There is no greater joy than that of feeling oneself a creator. The triumph of life is expressed by creation."

-- Henri Bergson

"One might think that the money value of an invention constitutes its reward to the man who loves his work. But, speaking for myself, I can honestly say this is not so. . . I continue to find my greatest pleasure, and so my reward, in the work that precedes what the world calls success."

-- Thomas A Edison

These quotes are all about doing what you love to do regardless of the financial gain or even if there is any financial gain. Of course, with Thomas A Edison, there was plenty of financial gain, yet his heart was in the invention and the creation rather than how it could be marketed.

Just imagine what the business you work at would be like if the employees felt this way about what tasks they do. Do you suppose that the financial rewards might even be substantially greater as a result of employees loving what they do? Do you think that customers and prospects would respond differently? Of course they would. You would if you were a customer.

What if a company changed their focus completely from the bottom line to the front line? What if a company decided to double their service at no extra charge? What if a company forgot completely about JD Power ratings, and CSI ratings and just focused on wowing the customer? What if a company stopped trying to control employees and began encouraging them? What if a company made sure that a person answered the phone every time and they fired the automated system?

The people who do what they love to do excel. The companies that do what they love and focus on being the best excel. Seems like a really good place to be to me!

Loving What I Am Doing Has A Dramatic Effect On My Attitude Of Life. No Need To Guess--It's Obvious!

Spread Some Joy Today--Isn't it true that it is obvious who loves what they do and who doesn't? Which one are you? Are you okay with that?
