About CTS Daily Inspirations

My name is Terry Minion and Commercial Truck Success is a company I own focused on helping manufacturers, dealers and body companies be more successful in the commercial truck market, while providing value and ideas to the end user.

We were involved in a consulting contract with a dealer during the recession period in 2009. The entire sales staff was depressed. There was such a need for enthusiasm and hope on the sales people's faces. It was a tough time for them as sales dropped to dramatic lows. I wanted to help them each day and thought of writing a Daily Inspiration to help give them a different and more hopeful perspective. So, I went and asked them all for permission to send them a daily note and began sending them to just this select group.

After about a month or so, I began expanding the email list to friends and family. Within three months of beginning, it has expanded to this blog, two different email lists, along with Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, Tumblr, and more.

I have always loved quotes since I was in my early twenties, so to inspire myself to write something positive and upbeat each and every day, I began collecting quotes and as I would read a quote that inspired me to write, I would include the quote and write.

I didn't want my perspective to be that of some expert or someone who has it all, but someone who is going through life open to learning, growing, changing, experiencing and sharing that journey. I wanted to say that I too have felt that way and I found a different way to think about it and it has changed my results, and so on.

My training? I love to write. I am a student--even a serious student--of life, philosophy, spirituality, and the human condition. I've tried a lot of things with success and failed many as well, yet each one gives me more experience, more stories and more wisdom. I don't tell people what to do, but share what I have learned and how I feel and think. I am open about my own failures, as well as successes in hopes that those who choose to read are inspired just a little.

I have studied many people who have inspired me. The list of these people is very long and all of their writings have molded a personal perspective that is expanding constantly. Some of my favorites are Jim Rohn, Andrew Carnegie, Abraham Lincoln, Jerry and Esther Hicks, Mike Dooley, Rhonda Byrne, Henry Ford, James Allen, William James, The Bible, William Shakespeare, to name but a few.

Based on the comments I have received, many people enjoy this perspective and thought-provoking ideas. They claim to be inspired and that is all that I could hope for.

I believe that we have much more control of our lives than we realize and that we can choose joy in virtually every situation if we want to. There are so many levels of joy. I have become a joy seeker. As I find more, I wish to share that with others.
