This quote by Mark Twain is among the best advice
that exists I think. We all have some kind of troubles from time to time and
some may even have an extra helping or two, but one thing I've found is that
focusing on the problem just causes more negative feelings, and may even lead to
becoming depressed and dysfunctional.
Going over our problems tends to bring on a
melancholy attitude and feeling sorry for ourselves and our situation is the
next step.
A better way for sure is to turn and look elsewhere
by focusing on solutions at the least and letting go completely at best. Think
of putting your troubles in a row boat, then push the boat out into the fast
moving stream and watch them ride off into the sunset.
