Daily Inspiration 6-4-12

"I can easily conceive, most Holy Father,
that as soon as some people learn that in
this book which I have written concerning
the revolutions of the heavenly bodies,
I ascribe certain motions to the Earth,
they will cry out at once that I and my
theory should be rejected."

-- Nicolaus Copernicus

Well. . . it just goes to show that no matter who you are--even someone who is known to have started the scientific revolution by determining and demonstrating that the Earth was not the center of the Universe--some people will criticize, say you're doing it wrong, perhaps picket against you, start a facebook page against your ideas, or worse. Of course, we can so easily see by history that those "some people" were clueless to the facts, don't you agree?

It seems that as soon as you begin going somewhere, doing something, believing something that is different from the "norm," whatever the norm is, we are subject to critics. So be it.

Next time you step out, remember Copernicus and do it no matter what "they" say. If it works out or doesn't work out, it is what it is. Accept it and keep on moving along. And, I highly recommend the practice for two reasons. One, it is creative and bold to step out and life is worthy of the attempt, and two, the practice will give you so much more confidence until finally, you don't pay much of any attention to the naysayers.
Go For It!

Spread Some Joy Today--
by practicing your gratitude. Make a list of things, people, events that you are grateful for and in appreciation of. In fact, start a binder and add to it every day. See what wonderful things come from that attention.
