Daily Inspiration 4-1-10

"The ladder of success is best climbed
by stepping on the rungs of opportunity."

-- Ayn Rand

"Opportunities multiply as they are seized."

-- Sun Tzu

"Opportunity's favorite disguise is trouble."

-- English Proverb

What do you think of these quotes sharing the same stage? I know one thing, I rarely think of opportunity as trouble. I fantasize that it is on the other side of the fence from trouble. Of course, that is very limited thinking, isn't it? Opportunity does disguise itself in the form of trouble all the time, and by making a choice to accept that fact, we are able to climb that ladder of success (whatever that is. . .) with much more authority and swiftness.

If you can decide to think this way, there is no trouble that can ever hold you down again. When you look at trouble as an opportunity, it doesn't hold the negativity that it used to. It tames it right down. And, I'll tell you that being grateful for the trouble tames it down so far that it is a pipsqueak instead of a roaring lion.

John Wooden makes it sound easy. . ."Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out. And Shakespeare in his infinite wisdom said it as good as it can ever be said I think: "There is nothing good or bad, that thinking makes it so." That is so powerful that it takes the world's greatest "disasters" and changes them to "events." This makes turning trouble into an opportunity a walk in the park.

I No Longer Run From Trouble, But Delight In It. What A Change That Is! Opportunities Are Everywhere, All The Time.

Spread Some Joy Today--Take a couple of your biggest troubles and put the troubles on one side of a piece of paper and on the other side, brainstorm on how those events can be viewed as opportunities instead. Open your mind. I guarantee you they are opportunities. Keep looking.
