Daily Inspiration 1-1-11

"Asking is the beginning of receiving.
Make sure you don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon.
At least take a bucket so the kids won't laugh at you."

-- Jim Rohn

"We have more ability than will power,
and it is often an excuse to ourselves
that we imagine that things are impossible."

-- Francois de la Rochefoucauld

Don't many of us have a tendency to ask for things we are certain we can do? Or, at least they aren't very far off the mark? Maybe it's a fear of failure thing. I've known a number of people who refused to set a goal very high because they couldn't handle not making it, consequently, they play it safe.

I love how Jim Rohn puts it about going to the ocean with a teaspoon. When you think of abundance and you see the sheer abundance of nature, the limits are all self-imposed and self-designed. He says, at least take a bucket. Or, how about a siphon?

So, with my partner leading the call, we've set a goal that is like taking at least an Olympic-size swimming pool portion out of the ocean. Of course, that leaves so much in the ocean, that it wouldn't even be missed. The challenge isn't nature, it is our own belief.

It's only impossible if we think it is impossible. I'm certain that if we can imagine it and believe it, that it can come to fruition.

So, here we are on day one of the new year. What better time, than to set sail and take in the view of the abundance that is available for the asking and the believing. Give it your best shot!
