Daily Inspiration 8-24-10

"Ever since I was a child, I have had this instinctive urge for
expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality
human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential."

-- Bruce Lee

"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Robert Frost

We learn by doing, grow by doing, expand by doing, and are fulfilled by doing when we are brave enough to do. There is just something about seeing what one can do with what we have to work with in the place we find ourselves in. It gets the juices flowing and the imagination imagining and the heartbeat beating. It's the thrill of the chase; the adventure of the journey; the method to our madness. It's risk and reward in action--and it is always a risk of one kind or another--in that we can be certain.

Robert Frost's most famous lines has us thinking about results from a decision long ago, yet every decision we make can and often does make all the difference. It can be the daily little decisions we make like what habits we might pick up, what we choose to drink and how often, people we choose to hang out with and whether that is benefiting each party, and those little daily decisions can mount up and become those that made all the difference. And, of course, it can be exactly the opposite in making great and beneficial choices that lead to this that has made all the difference.

May your travels and choices be making a very positive difference in your life.
