Daily Inspiration 11-1-09

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up.
The most certain way to succeed is always to try one more time."

- Thomas Edison

Yes!

I have 'failed' many times, and in looking back and being honest with myself, each of those failures was really a success in 'failure' clothing. Each was a decision: I quit. Oh, I might not have said so openly, and I may not have ever admitted it until now, but the stark reality is that I made a conscious decision that I didn't want to do it anymore and quit.

One of the things people do when they want to stop doing something, is they make up reasons and they create circumstances to back up their reasoning so they can feel like they look good--to be covered--to justify. They may say things like 'the economy,' or 'lack of business,' or 'health issues and concerns,' etc. These are things that the general populace accept as valid.

All the reasons and circumstances you can make up doesn't really matter, it's all smoke and mirrors. What really happened when you get down to the nitty gritty, is a decision to change course. I think that if you're honest with yourself, you would be forced to agree that this is the case.

Now, accepting that premise holds awesome power! With this acceptance, it is possible to move forward with a greater amount of confidence than ever before because you are now admitting that you have so much more control of your life than you have ever previously acknowledged. That is power! It is truth. You do have power and always have had it. You are constantly deciding how it will be used. It's just that previously you've covered up your decisions with circumstances and reasoning to make it sound better to you and others.

When you have expanded like this in accepting that you have the power and making better use of it, you will never go back. It's kind of like graduating from Junior High School, then going on to high school. Can you imagine ever going back after you've been to high school. Then college. Can you imagine going back to high school after you have made it to college? No way. You've outgrown it, moved beyond it, you are past it and what was before no longer holds any interest. Mental awareness is the same way. Once you have grown and expanded, you are now there and going backward makes no sense.

So, congratulations! You have expanded! You have the power! You are powerful! You control much more than you ever thought possible!

Ain't it cool!

I Got The Power. . . I Got The Power. . . Yeah!
